Modern World History
THIS IS THE LAST WEEK OF THIRD QUARTER.
Examine the major battles and turning points of WWII.
Map activity.
Homework:
Skim through pages 427-446 (807-826). This is a lot of reading, so SKIM. The skill we are working on is covering a large amount of text, and pulling out relevant and important information.
Draw a time line that goes from 1920-1952. We will work on this timeline for two nights. Give your self a lot of room on your page and feel free to use bigger paper. Turn a paper lengthwise (so it is wider than tall) and draw your timeline across the width of the page.
Fill in signifacant events mentioned in the readings. Include the date, what happened, and reason for its significance (for example - cause of war, turning point in the war, major political decision, many deaths . . .)
