Designing a Social Music Site with Fireworks
First Things First
- Complete the working with gradients tutorial
- Complete the working with the select and lasso tool in Fireworks tutorial.
- Decide on a color scheme to use for your site using ColourLovers.com.
- Chose at two images from stock.xchng to use on your site. One is used in the header. One is used in the main body.
- Choose a page layout design that you would like to use for the social music site.
- Open up an 800 x 600 file in Fireworks
- Design the site
Requirements
- Must have a header that uses one stock image and the lasso tool. Must include the name of the site (you decide) and a tagline (you decide)
- Must have a navigation with the following links: Home, My Music, My Friends Music, Most Popular, Browse for Music.
- The main body must contain the following information:
- Welcome to (name of site), the best online social networking music site. You can create a page with all of your favorite music and link in with other people across the world.
- A search section where people can search for music.
- A list of most popular songs playing now.
- You must design a music player using the shape tool.
- A button to join the site.
- A place for people to sign in.
- A gradient as a background for some part of the site.
- Footer must have contact information (make up a contact email @ yoursite.com), about yoursite.com, privacy policy, and site designed by: your name.
- Include any other relevant information that a social networking music site would need.
