Did you Know?

Objective

SWBAT: understand the basic premise of ITGS and identify some examples of it in the world today.

Agenda

• Welcome message.
• Watch 'Did you know?' video (Hopefully)
• Introduce Areas of Impact through examples in the news today.
• Assign groups for presentations.
• Go over needed materials for class (Composition book and three ring binder with 6 sections.

Homework

• Set up your three ring notebook with six dividers. Label the 6 sections with the 6 areas of impact.
• Make one page for each area of impact and write the types of content you would find under that area of impact.
• For example, Business and Employment - Transportation: reservation systems, luggage processing, navigation, scheduling and distribution. traffic simulation, smart roads and cars, fuel efficiency and traffic safety systems.... Employment .... etc.
• Now each area of impact should have a section and an introductory page that outlines the type of information covered in that area of impact.
