ITGS Project - Criterion I Guide
- Read the IB rubric for Criterion I in the ITGS Guide.
- Look over the example Criterion I posted on Edline.
- Assign time frames (by month or week) to the following sections of your project: identifying the problem, analyzing and studying feasibility, planning, developing, implementing and testing, assessing social impact
- For example, Planning (November to third week of December)
- For each section explain who did what. For example, I found a solution, my client gave me more information, etc. Again, refer to the example.
- In your planning section, be sure to include sketches, story maps, illustrations, and screenshots from your logbook that show your planning process. Yes, you will have to scan them into a digital format.
- When you are deciding what to include, think about what best shows you planning for the development of your product.
- Provide the specifications for all hardware and software you used (or will use) in the project. This is best presented in a table format. For those doing a website, don't forget about the internet server - its hardware.
- For the specifications that you should include, refer to the rubric and example.
- The last bit of required information is all of the data that you need to make the solution really solve the social problem you are trying to solve. You do not have to put all of the information in your Criterion I, but you do have to describe the data, how you got it (did you create it, get it from the client...), how it helps solve the social problem, and how is it integrated into your project.
