ITGS Project - Criterion K - Assessing the Social Significance of the Product

In Criterion K we measure the affects our product has had on the social problem we set out to solve in Criterion G. There are two things that you need to have in K: an observed impact and a projected impact.

  1. Observed Impact - This is an effect your product has had on the social problem you are trying to solve. In your logbooks make sure that you record the tangible evidence of this effect. You will need to discuss these observations with your client and end-users
  2. Projected Impact - Unfortunately we do not have a long period of time to measure the effects of our project. Due to this you will also describe a projected effect that you think your project will have. Again, make sure that you have discussed this with your end-user and recorded the information in your logbook. This should also describe the effect your project would have if it was developed on a larger scale, for example, international.
