Springbrook is a public high school in Silver Spring, MD. We have a great web design program here as well as the International Baccalaureate program.

Courses at Springbrook

• Web Design: This introductory web design course covers web design, XHTML, CSS, Flash, and freelance business skills.
• Web Development: Our second year web course covers PHP and MySQL development, JavaScript with emphasis on jQuery, developing with CMSes like WordPress and ExpressionEngine, and building a freelancing career.
• IB ITGS: Information Technology in a Global Society is the International Baccalaureate's amazingly rich technology course. We learn about everything from building a computer to artificial intelligence.

Web Programs at Springbrook

• School Site Internship: A multidisciplinary team of web designers, developers, graphic designers, writers, translators, photographers, and videographers work together to maintain and develop the official Springbrook web site.
• Web Design Business: Advanced students who have completed web design and web development work on delivering quality sites for paying clients using WordPress and ExpressionEngine.
