HTML v. XHTML Students create two pages, the exact same in appearance. One is html 4.01 strict. The other is xhtml 1.0 strict. Students should know the difference between the two languages and be able to validate their pages. Link to Directions Wed. Jan. 28rd
Template Project Student will modify an open source template using hue and saturation manipulation and server side includes. Link to Directions Wed. Jan. 28rd

Quench Banner Use Fireworks and a given logo to create a banner for a company called Quench. Link to Directions Fri. Nov. 20th
Quench Website Use Fireworks and the Quench Banner to design a full website for the Quench non-profit company. Link to Directions Fri. Nov. 23th
Social Networking Music Site Students complete two tutorials to develop their graphic design skills and create a social networking music site in Fireworks. Link to Directions Fri. Nov. 27th
Yeah! Web Design Site Students learn how to slice a site layout in Fireworks, create the html for the site, add the css styling, and finally end up with a complete site that models the original mock-up. Link to Directions Fri. Nov. 27th
Website Reviews 6 & and 7 Site reviews for two websites: one can be a site of your choice. The second site must be from a css gallery. No online directions Fri. Dec. 14th

Color Schemes and CSS Students will complete the 5 color schemes assignment. Then they will take the five colors and create a web page demonstrating the five color schemes using css. This will require completion of a css tutorial. Link to Directions Fri. Oct. 18th
